Financial Intelligence Service
In April 2001, the Bailiwick of Guernsey formally launched the Financial Intelligence Service (FIS) which has responsibility for developing criminal intelligence in order to combat financial crime, money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

The FIS is staffed equally by Police and Customs & Immigration Service and is the central unit within the Bailiwick of Guernsey responsible for receiving, analysing and disseminating suspicious activity reports from financial services businesses under local anti money laundering legislation.

To obtain, develop and disseminate financial intelligence, in association with other agencies, in order to combat crime and terrorist financing, both locally and internationally.
